Bassist and vocalist Danielle Nicole is one of the founders of the blues rock band Trampled Under Foot. In 2015 she went solo with her debut album “Wolf Den” and in 2014 she was the first woman to be awarded the best bass instrumentalist during the Blues Music Awards in Memphis, and earlier this year two new Blues Music Awards. In 2018, she was also nominated for the highest prize of all, the Grammy Award.
Danielle grew up playing blues, and says that the blues still make up a large part of her repertoire – although she now also extends the genre a little further. With her unique voice she has captivated the audience wherever she plays. For Dark Season Blues, she has brought a solid band in the back, so here is just to look forward to an amazing concert with a wonderful mix of blues, roots and soul.
