With the album “Hold On” in 2017, Tinderholt seriously marked himself as a guitarist, singer and songwriter. The release was nominated for Spellemannpris, and Tinderholdt and his band represented Norway during the European Blues Challenge at Hell in Trøndelag.
Tinderholdt plays “old school” blues, soul and rhythm’n’blues, while sounding fresh and new. He debuted with critically acclaimed “You Gotta Do More” in 2015, ten years after his first playing job at the now defunct Muddy Waters in Oslo. Along with his band, he has also made his mark outside the country, at festivals and among other things on a longer tour in Germany.
