Geir Bertheussen Blues Express is a hard working bluesband from the northern parts of Norway. The band mostly plays standard Chicago blues, but with a taste of soul and some funky blues tunes added to their repertoire.

Geir Bertheussen is a true bluesman. He’s been doing this kind of music style for 25 years. Like Howlin Wolf used to do, he sings with authority, feeling and bite. His harmonica style of playing is in the best Junior Wells tradition, but of course in his own way and interpretation.

The band features Kai-Sverre Fjellberg on guitars, Trond Hansen on the bass, and Kåre “Lefty” Amundsen on drums. All three of them have for several years been playing the blues in different bands.

In 2014 Geir Bertheussen Blues Express made a live recording at The Shack Up Inn in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
